Rescue Dogs is Canada's first 100% Vegan Hot Dog & Street Fare cart and was the recipient of the "Best Food Truck" award from the 2016 & 2017 Toronto Veg Awards. We operate a regular schedule throughout southern Ontario March - November and do events & catering all year round!
All of our food, from our hot dogs, cheesesteaks and sloppy jane's to our desserts and breakfast specials are made from scratch and individually prepared. Our ingredients are sourced as organically, locally, & sustainably as possible.
We donate a portion of every sale to local animal rescues, specifically prioritizing donations towards subsidizing emergency prodecures.
We are a very small staff (well, larger if you count our animal companions)! KW handles the day to day operations and marketing, while Vic is our kitchen overlord, making sure our tasty treats stay ready for you. We look forward to serving you soon!
As of June 5, 2017 our handrolled, Cruelty Free hot dogs are available in select stores in southern Ontario! They come in a pack of 6 and, as always, each package purchased means a donation towards a local animal rescue.
As of February 1, 2018 our Maple Breakfast Banger is also available at select retailers! This delicious 320g sausage roll is the perfect way to start your day with tons of protein, low sodium, and no soy!
